Liturgical Art: The "Lew Chasuble"

The title is somewhat in jest of course, but it is somewhat apt since these images are of the conical chasuble which Fr. Lawrence Lew, O.P. had commissioned for his priestly ordination. I specifically made this request of Fr. Lawrence being that I have always quite supported the revival of this ancient form, so beautiful in its own right (when properly executed and worn) and so iconic in Western sacred art -- of course, as I am always careful to point out that when I say this, I do not say it to the exclusion of other forms of the chasuble of which my personal opinion is that the most reasonable view is that which admits the same diversity the Church herself admits through her living tradition, but I digress.
