Pontifical Mass of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Newark, New Jersey

On Thursday, July 16th, the feast of Our Lady of Mt Carmel, His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, bishop emeritus of Patterson, New Jersey, will celebrate a solemn Pontifical Mass in the traditional rite at the parish of Our Lady of Mt Carmel in Newark, New Jersey, beginning at 7pm. The church is located at 259 Oliver Street. Tickets are available for free via Eventbrite; seating for those over that number will be available in the piazza in front of the church, which will be set up with outdoor speakers.

EF Pontifical Mass in Paterson, New Jersey, Oct. 13

On Saturday, October 13th, His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, Bishop of Paterson, New Jersey, will celebrate a Pontifical Mass at the throne of his cathedral in the traditional rite. The Mass will begin at 9:30 am, and be followed by a convivium in the Rodimer Center behind the Cathedral. Sacred Music will be provided by the Northern Jersey Catholic Chorale, the Metropolitan Catholic Chorale and the Schola Cantorum of St. John the Baptist, Allentown, including Rheinberger’s Missa Sanctae Crucis (Mass in G) and Ave Regina Caelorum, Bruckner’s Ave Maria, and Severac’s Tantum Ergo. The cathedral is located at 381 Grand Street in Paterson.

Bishop Serratelli’s Recent Pontifical Mass

On October 14th, His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, bishop of Paterson, New Jersey, celebrated a solemn Pontifical Mass in the Extraordinary Form in the cathedral of St John the Baptist. I must confess that these photos were sent to me a while ago, and slipped through the cracks in the midst of a rather busy month; for the delay in posting them. Our thanks to Bishop Serratelli for his support of the traditional rite in his diocese!

On Saturday, October 14, His Excellency Arthur Serratelli, Bishop of Paterson, New Jersey, will celebrate a Solemn Pontifical Mass at the Cathedral of St John the Baptist, beginning at 9:30 am. The cathedral is located at 341 Grand Street in Paterson The Mass is taking place entirely upon the initiative of Bishop Serratelli himself, who is a great supporter of the Traditional Latin Mass.
