A New Sacred Music Group, The Saint Hildegard Project

The Saint Hildegard Project is a new organization, based in northern Indiana, that seeks to communicate the beauty of the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition through the Church’s rich treasury of sacred music. Comprised of men and women who share a fervent devotion to the music itself, the group strives to teach with integrity and perform with excellence for the edification of souls and the glory of God.

Following the exhortation of the Second Vatican Council that “the treasure of sacred music is to be preserved and fostered with great care” (Sacrosanctum Concilium, no. 114), the Saint Hildegard Project seeks to renew the public prayer of Christ’s Church through performance, education, and musical enrichment at both the parochial and diocesan level. The organization is also endorsed by Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. See their Instagram page:

Mass at the de Nicola Center for Ethics & Culture Annual Conference
The Saint Hildegard Project will provide music for a Mass during the Fall 2023 Conference of the de Nicola Center for Ethics & Culture. The Mass will be held at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart on the campus of the University of Notre Dame, and celebrated by Bishop Rhoades on Friday, November 3, at 5:15 PM.

Fall Concert | Memento Mori - Requiem & Resurrection
An annual Fall concert that will feature Gregorian chant, hymns, solo organ and choral works by Victoria, Tavener, Rheinberger, and more. This event is free and open to the public. Nov 17, 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Saint Joseph Catholic Church in Mishawaka, Indiana, (220 W 4th St).
