The Church of Ss Peter and Paul in Biasca, Switzerland (Part 2)

Last week, we published Nicola’s pictures of the interior of the church of Ss Peter and Paul in Biasca, a town in Canton Ticino, Switzerland, which has been part of the territory of the Ambrosian Rite since at least the 6th century. As a follow-up, here are some pictures of the exterior, very much in the Romanesque style of its period, the second half of the twelfth century. At the end are some pieces of sculpture which are, to be honest, nowhere near as impressive as the extensive surviving fresco work which we saw in the first part.
