140 singers and the Tridentine Rite

If you are in the Washington, D.C. area, you will not want to miss the Mass of the Nativity of St. John the Baptist, Saturday, June 23, 2007, at old St. Mary's in Chinatown, 5:00pm. The Mass will be said according to the 1962 Missal. The workshop choir of the Colloquium will be singing music by Croce, Monteverdi, and Palestrina, in addition to Gregorian propers. And yes, there will be 140 singers. Here is a flyer if you want to post it at your parish. It's going to be spectacular.

In addition, the colloquium choir will be singing at daily Masses for the entire week in the Crypt Church, usually at 10:30am. If I weren't singing, I would just camp out there for the week to hear it all. Here is the schedule.
