Since its founding, The Saint Hildegard Project has been dedicated to promoting sacred music through both education and performance. Based in South Bend, Indiana (where the University of Notre Dame is located), the ensemble has steadily grown, expanding its choir and reaching new audiences with the beauty of the Church’s musical tradition.
The Project has offered music for distinguished occasions, including a 2024 performance at Holy Cross College for Cardinal Gerhard Müller, preceding his Mind & Heart lecture.Wednesday, October 01, 2025

A New Sacred Music Group, The Saint Hildegard Project
Gregory DiPippoThe Saint Hildegard Project is a new organization, based in northern Indiana, that seeks to communicate the beauty of the Roman Catholic liturgical tradition through the Church’s rich treasury of sacred music. Comprised of men and women who share a fervent devotion to the music itself, the group strives to teach with integrity and perform with excellence for the edification of souls and the glory of God.
Following the exhortation of the Second Vatican Council that “the treasure of sacred music is to be preserved and fostered with great care” (Sacrosanctum Concilium, no. 114), the Saint Hildegard Project seeks to renew the public prayer of Christ’s Church through performance, education, and musical enrichment at both the parochial and diocesan level. The organization is also endorsed by Bishop Kevin Rhoades of the Diocese of Fort Wayne-South Bend. See their Instagram page:https://www.instagram.com/sainthildegardproject/
