France is certainly a country of traditional pilgrimages. I've been discovering more and more of their pages these recent weeks and months, as I make a concerted effort to so do.
My efforts are obviously upon groups operating in communion with the local ordinary, though something could slip through that isn't and so if anyone notices such, please let me know.
I hope that by posting such, we not only get a sense of what is going on in continental Europe in this regard, but that it might also inspire people in North America.
PELERINAGE A VIVIERES (AISNE) - COLLECTIF POUR LA PAIX LITURGIQUE A REIMS
Taking place on June 24th, and organized annually by the group, the Confraternity of St. Clotilde, a pilgrimage to Vivieres.
"It is in the church of Vivières that are held since the Norman invasions, the relics of Saint Clotilde... Sainte Clotilde... was at the origin of Christian France and his mission to the elder daughter of the Church. Since 1947, the brotherhood of St-Clotilde organizes this pilgrimage to Vivieres."
There are others which I shall try to bring to you later this evening.
