Oxford Martyrs Pilgrimage this Weekend

By way of Dr. Joseph Shaw, a reader of this site and the Oxford Latin Mass Society representative, (also by way of The Hermeneutic of Continuity whose own post about this event reminded me that I should get something up) I thought some of you would be interested to know that this weekend is the Annual Oxford Martyrs Pilgrimage. (Lives of the Oxford Martyrs)

This wonderful event involves the Oxford Oratorians and their church -- which I still have fond memories of serving Mass at back in the Autumn as well as witnessing the moving spectre of many priests quietly saying Mass on all of the many altars of this church.

Details of the event:

Latin Mass Society Oxford Pilgrimage
Saturday 23rd June

We will be honouring the four beatified martyrs of 5th July 1589:
George Nichols and Richard Yaxely (priests),
and Thomas Belson and Humphrey Pritchard (laymen)

Solemn High Mass 11.30am
Procession to the place of Martyrdom 2pm
and Benediction 4pm

I should have some photographs for you, hopefully by the weekend, but here are a few from last year:
