Byrd propers are taking over the world

Ok, the headline is a slight exaggeration. But here's the truth. On Saturday, November 1st, at the 11:30 AM Mass at the Chapel of Christ the King of Christendom College, the college's Palestrina Chamber Choir performed William Byrd's polyphonic settings of the Propers for the Feast of All Saints from Gradualia Book I. The Mass was celebrated by one of the college's chaplains, Fr. William Fitzgerald, O. Praem. The choir was directed by Dr. Kurt Poterack who is also program director for the college's newly established minor in liturgical music. For more information about the minor, go here.
