News from the Cistercians on Sri Lanka

The Cistercian monks who, coming from Heiligenkreuz in Austria and called by Archbishop Malcolm Ranjith, are establishing Cistercian (and in fact monastic) life in Sri Lanka (cf. our earlier piece here), have begun settling in. On Tuesday of Holy Week, Archbishop Ranjith blessed the new chapel, dedicated to St. Bernard, which they have installed in the house. As explicitly asked for by Archbishop Ranjith, the chapel has been disposed for ad orientem celebration.
