Solemn Pontifical Mass Celebrated by Archbishop Cordileone - Friday, Feb. 20th, in San Francisco

Start the jubilee year of St Francis with a pilgrimage to his city! All are cordially invited to attend a Solemn Pontifical Mass in the usus antiquior which will be celebrated by His Excellency Salvatore J. Cordileone, Archbishop of San Francisco, on Friday, February 20th, the Friday after Ash Wednesday, at the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi in San Francisco. The Mass will begin at 6:30 p.m.; the shrine is located at 610 Vallejo Street.&

The Archbishop’s Schola will be there to sing the Byrd Mass for Four Voices, Byrd’s Emendemus in Melius, and Frank La Rocca’s Miserere, alongside all the proper chants. Join us for a reception following the Mass, where you’ll have the opportunity to gain a plenary indulgence for visiting the Shrine as a group (details on the indulgence here).
