Seminary closes in changed times

Archdiocese to close historic Quigley Preparatory Seminary, and it makes sense why. Only one ordination has come out of the school in 16 years!

The story points out that this is not symbolic of a crisis (which isn't to deny that there is a crisis) but rather a change in the manner in which young men accept their vocations. No longer do men study for the priesthood in high school. Today it usually occurs in college or after gradution or, often, after a few years in a profession.
