Society of St. Catherine of Siena and a new liturgical study forthcoming

News from the Society of St. Catherine of Siena (please take note at the bottom of the upcoming publication):

Society Website

The Society’s web site has been given a much-needed wash and brush up by our webmaster – to whom we are very grateful. The site can be viewed here – all comments and suggestions are very welcome. In addition the number of the society’s Friends has been steadily growing (32 at the last count). If you are not yet a Friend or wish to become one, or if you want to introduce new Friends, details can be found on the web-site. We are grateful to Miss Catherine Donner for her work as Secretary of the Friends – Catherine took over from Mr. Anthony Bond who is now studying in the United States.

Other Future Events and Publications

On September 12th at 6.00 pm Holy Mass will be offered in the Little Oratory of the London Oratory to mark the end of Dr. Lauren Pristas’s tenure of the Society’s Research Fellowship in Liturgical Theology, awarded to her by the Trustees last year. Dr. Pristas will be present at the Mass and you are most welcome to join us and meet her on that occasion if you are able. Dr. Pristas will be speaking informally at a small colloquium in London on the 11th of September about the progress of her research. If you might like to attend please write to me at lph@dircon.co.uk and let me know (places are somewhat limited). Dr. Pristas’s work will be published as the seventh volume in the ‘Faith in Reason’ series sponsored by the Society as ‘Collects of the Roman Missal: A Study of Liturgical Reform’. Full details will follow nearer the time.
