VIII Centenary of the Consecration of the Cathedral of Santiago [UPDATE]

On 7 May, the VIII centenary of the consecration of the cathedral of Santiago de Compostela was celebrated by the Archbishop of Santiago, Most Rev. Julián Barrio Barrio. One of the most precious sets of antique vestments from the treasure of the cathedral was used. At the beginning of the ceremony, there was a procession with stations at each of the cathedral's consecration crosses, where each time a motet was sung with the text of the inscription around the respective consecration cross. At the end, the famous botafumeiro was swung. Below are some photographs of the occasion; you can watch video clips at this link.
