A New CD of Sacred Music - "Lux in Tenebris: Holy Week at Mater Dei"

The choirs of Mater Dei Catholic Church in Irving Texas, have recorded and released their first album of sacred music: “Lux in Tenebris: Holy Week at Mater Dei”, a collection of Renaissance polyphony and Gregorian chants sung at the parish during Holy Week. The choir is hoping that this will be the first of many more such recordings; the profits will go to support the music program, and also help contribute to the beginning of a capital campaign to build a larger church. The success of this first CD will be crucial to the success of future efforts. The music director, Kimberly Walters, informs us that the choirs are comprised solely of volunteers, and amateur singers, and have seen significant growth in the last few years. You can find the physical CD for sale, and listen to samples, at http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/luxintenebrisholyweekatm; digital download is also available on all major digital music stores: Amazon, Google Play, iTunes, Spotify, etc.
