Usus Antiquior First Mass of a New Community in Paraguay

The Missionary Community of Jesus (Comunidad Misionera de Jesús) is a new community of clerics and lay people founded in 2002 and erected as a public association of the faithful in the diocese of Ciudad del Este, Paraguay. Their founder and Superior, Fr. Jorge Miguel Martínez, was ordained to the priesthood (together with nine other diocesan priests) on Sunday, 3 October 2010, by the bishop of Ciudad del Este, Most Rev. Rogelio Livieres Plano. Fr. Martínez celebrated his First Mass on the following day as a Solemn Mass in the Extraordinary Form. Deacon of the Mass was Fr. Dominic Carey, rector of the Major Seminary of Ciudad del Este, and subdeacon Fr. Kevin Liberman, Vicar General of the diocese. The Mass was attended by numerous faithful.
