Holy Family Parish in Essex Junction, Vermont, will hold a series of events on the evening of Sunday, October 13th, to celebrate the canonization of Blessed John Henry Cardinal Newman, which will take place earlier that day in Rome. Solemn Vespers will be celebrated in the Extraordinary Form, followed by dinner in the Holy Family church hall, and three brief presentations on the life and thought of Cardinal Newman, by Dr Patrick Powers of St Thomas More College, and Frs Kevin Chalifoux and Matthew Rensch, who are both priests of the diocese of Burlington, Vermont.
