First Images from the Institute of the Good Shepherd ordinations in the Lateran Basilica [UPDATED]

There was an important event today in the life of the usus antiquior and for those attached to it and who promote its place in the heart of the Church.

In the Pope's own Cathedral in Rome, that of the Basilica of St. John Lateran -- which we have featured so much these past days what-with the Feast of the Chair of Peter -- a Solemn Pontifical Mass was offered for the purpose of ordaining deacons for the the Institute of the Good Shepherd.

Official images will no doubt be forthcoming from the IGS, but one can always count on ORBIS CATHOLICVS and John Sonnen for notices and images from Rome. Yet again, he does not disappoint and he brings us at least a few images of this significant event.

I share with you a few of those. More images will be forthcoming, so watch here for updates.
