Anticipating the Chartres Pilgrimage

It is always a sure sign of being in the depths of spring and approaching summer when the NLM gets to report upon the highly (and deservedly) acclaimed Pèlerinage de Chartres (Chartres Pilgrimage) done under the auspices of Notre-Dame de Chrétienté in France.

This particular pilgrimage has always been one of my favourite events to report upon because of its connection with our tradition, its very European-Christendom flavour, its youthful representation, its Catholic scouts, and also because it also draws people from various parts of the world.

Do take a look at some of last year's photos.

The theme this, the 25th pilgrimage from Paris to Chartres, will be "YOU ARE OUR QUEEN: Prudence, Justice, Fortitude and Temperance".

If anyone is going on this pilgrimage, or if you are simply keeping track of it, do know that I am interested not only in the official Chartres photos, but also any images or video taken by pilgrims through as the event unfolds day by day.

Please email these to the NLM for posting.

I leave you with a few images from last year:
