History of the Mass video?

At my parish, a video is circulating on the history of the Mass that is, ummm, rather misleading. Essentially the narrative is that the first Christians got it right until some elitist Bishops turned it into a forbidding and complicated Latin experience that excluded the people, until Vatican 2 came along and restored it to its original glories. You know the shtick. So what I'm looking for is an alternative: an actual scholarly, truth-telling, and compelling video/DVD of the history of the Mass. Ignatius doesn't seem to have one. Anyone know?
