2009 Anglican Use Conference

Some of our readership may be interested in learning of the upcoming 2009 Anglican Use Conference which will feature speakers such as Fr. John Saward -- himself an Anglican convert, and one who has been featured upon the NLM before, for his work in the context of both the reform of the reform and usus antiquior in Oxford, England.

The conference will take place at the beautiful Anglican use church of Our Lady of Walsingham in Houston, Texas.

Speakers will include:

Fr. James Moore, founding co-pastor of Our Lady of Walsingham Catholic Church

Mary C. Moorman, apologist and author

Dr. Hans-Jurgen Feulner, Professor of Liturgical Studies and Sacramental Theology at the University of Vienna.

The conference will include the following liturgies from the liturgical books of the Anglican use:

Solemn Evensong & Benediction (Preces & Responses by John Holmes, Evening Canticles in E Minor by Pelham Humphrey, and anthems by Orlando Gibbons)

Choral Matins (plainsong and Anglican chant)
