Regular Usus Antiquior Begins in Canadian Cathedral

It is always encouraging to hear of the spread of the liturgical programme of Benedict XVI to contexts such as universities and cathedrals.

Recently the NLM learnt that Archbishop Gerard Pettipas, C.Ss.R., archbishop of the diocese of Grouard-McLennan in Alberta, Canada had made the announcement that a monthly usus antiquior Mass was going to be held at the cathedral on the first Saturday of each month at 9:00am -- as well as once a year on a Sunday, beginning this Sunday, December 28th at the 9:00am and 10:30am Masses.

Let us hope the faithful there will show their support and build this up so that it might become even more frequently offered as part of the liturgical life of that cathedral church.
