Sweeten Your Christmas Song: Laetabundus

This outstanding Sequence for Christmas, Laetabundus, seems to have fallen out of use after the Council of Trent trimmed down the number of Sequences for the liturgical year, but there is no reason why it can't be used as a hymn for Mass or some other time (though there are parishes that use it as a sequence for the OF, taking advantage of the liberality in the ritual form).

Br. Lawrence Lew says that it is still retained in the Dominican Missal, so it does have an active liturgical presence.

Faithful people,
Sweeten all your song with gladness.
Alleluia...
