The Catafalque at the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament, Raritan, New Jersey

Many of you will be familiar with Fr. Guy Sylvester, an expert in ecclesiastical heraldry and the blogger at Shouts in the Piazza. Fr. Sylvester was kind enough to send some photos of the catafalque setup at his parish, the Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Raritan, New Jersey, for All Souls today.

Father was offering Masses in utroque usu, in both uses, for All Souls and if any further pictures of the Masses themselves become available, we may update this post.

You will note around the catafalque the use of non-gold/silver candlesticks, which form another aspect of the sobriety which our tradition presents to us for Masses for the faithful departed.
