On Sunday, October 14, 2007 at 4pm, Fr. James Bartoloma of the Diocese of Camden will offer a Solemn High Traditional Latin Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Glassboro, NJ. Fr. Bartoloma is a regular reader of the NLM and has been a friend of Mater Ecclesiae Mission for many years. A member of the younger, more traditional class of priests, Fr. Bartoloma was perhaps more anxious than anyone in these parts for the motu proprio, and he finally got to say his first Solemn High Mass this past September 16 at Mater Ecclesiae.
I have formed a professional schola cantorum especially for this occasion. Here is the Ordo musicae:
Organ prelude: Le Banquet Celeste (Olivier Messiaen)
Asperges: chant
Chant Propers for the Twentieth Sunday after Pentecost
Mass VIII (de Angelis)
Credo III
Offertory Polyphony: Super flumina Babylonis (Palestrina)
Communion Polyphony: Ave Maria (Arcadelt)
Jubilate Deo (Josquin)
Ave Verum Corpus (Byrd)
Organ postlude: improvisation
