International Una Voce Delegation in Rome

Pro Missa Tridentina, a German member association of the Internation Federation Una Voce (FIUV), informs that a delegation of the FIUV Council visited Rome from 28 to 30 October 2009. The delegation comprised Leo Darroch (Executive President, UK), Rodolfo Vargas Rubio (Secretary, Spain), Jack Oostveen (First Vice-President, The Netherlands) and Monika Rheinschmitt (Treasurer, Germany). At the end of Wednesday's General Audience, the delegation had the opportunity to greet the Holy Father Pope Benedict and to talk with him briefly. On this occasion, the Holy Father was presented with the documentation "Two Years of Summorum Pontificum - Worldwide Implementation", as well as with the second part of a collection of signatures organised in Germany. The Pope was visibly delighted at the meeting and showed himself very much interested in both documents.

On Wednesday afternoon and Thursday the delegation had appointments with various Vatican departments, among others the Congregation for Divine Worship, the Congregation for the Clergy, the Secretariat of State, the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei, and the editorial staff of the Osservatore Romano. They also visited former PCED Presidents Cardinals Castrillón and Mayer.
