Pictures of Solemn Masses - and another Solemn Mass on EWTN

Last week we were talking about upcoming Solemn Masses in Washington and New York. It seems both occasions went uncommenly well. You can read a report with images from New York on the Society of St. Hugh of Cluny blog here and from Washington on the Dignare me blog here.

Some select pictures:

Consecration

Washington, Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception

From Washington, we also have a video of the incensation of the altar at the beginning of Holy Mass (strangely, it was done as if the altar were attached to the wall instead of freestanding):

As mentioned in the original post, the celebrant of the Mass at the National Shrine in Washington was Fr Jonathan Romanoski FSSP, who was recently ordained by Cardinal Castrillón. Pictures of his First Mass, which he celebrated at the Carmel of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph in Valparaiso, Nebraska, can be found at the Una Voce Carmel blog here. Some samples:

Lastly, Una Voce Carmel has the welcome news that Fr Jared McCambridge FSSP, who was ordianed on the same occasion by Cardinal Castrillón, will offer a Solemn High Mass at Mother Angelica's Shrine of the Blessed Sacrament in Hanceville, AL on 1 July 2008 at 7:00 a.m. CDT, which will be broadcast live on EWTN “Daily Mass Live.”
