FSSPX Announce Representatives for Forthcoming CDF Discussions

In a press release today, La Porte Latine, the news agency of the Society of St. Pius X, have released the names of those who will be the FSSPX representatives in the forthcoming theological discussions with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. Here is that communique, in an unofficial NLM translation.

Bishop Bernard Fellay appointed as the representatives of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X for the theological discussions with the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith: Bishop Alfonso de Galarreta, Director of the Seminary Corredentora Nuestra Señora de La Reja (Argentina), Father Benoît de Jorna, director of the International Seminary of Saint Pius X in Ecône (Switzerland), Father Jean-Michel Gleize, professor of ecclesiology at the seminary in Ecône, and Father Patrick de La Rocque, Prior of the Priory St. Louis Nantes (France).

Bishop de Galarreta was already chairman of the committee within the Society which was responsible for the preparation for these discussions, since April 2009.

Work will begin in the second half of October and will require the necessary discretion for a peaceful exchange on doctrinal issues that are difficult.
