The Pro Multis, Pro Omnibus debate

Catholic World News (CWN) is running a news story today which will be of interest to some folks:

The Vatican has ruled that the phrase pro multis should be rendered as "for many" in all new translations of the Eucharistic Prayer, CWN has learned.

For some traditionalists, they seem to wish to doctrinally impugn the Pauline rite (and even question its validity in some cases) because of the present translation, "for all." For the record, let me state that their's is an argument I do not agree with.

Nonetheless, if what CWN says is true, then it is good to see that there will be a more accurate translation, and potentially one less stumbling block for some individuals.
