The Catholic Revival in Architecture

There are many signs of a continued growth in a hermeneutic of continuity. Another such example was recently highlighted in the domain of architecture (and News 8 Austin runs a story on it: "Mega Catholic church opens in Round Rock").

In this case, the Catholic revival comes in terms of sacred architecture. One is used to, upon hearing of a "mega-church", jumping to an immediate conclusion about the nature and style of the church. However, take a look at this:
