One Year Ago Today...

A year ago this day, all the talk was about Summorum Pontificum which had just been released, and the image above adorned the NLM for a time in celebration of this momentous event. It was an exhilirating, exciting time -- and it still is in many ways. It set forth a new place not only for the ancient Roman liturgy, but for liturgical tradition generally.

This said, I have already provided a more substantive year in review in my piece in this week's edition of The Catholic Herald, so I shall simply re-refer you to that piece.

Still, there are other, more unique ways we might review here, and one of the best ways is to perhaps recall some of the celebratory scenes from one year ago today.

Do these images bring back memories?

Now all this said, there is much to be thankful for, and reasons to celebrate one year on. So do tell, have you planned an anniversary celebration this evening (or in the surrounding days at any rate).

If so, do tell us what you have planned, your choice of food and beverages, and if you can, please do send in your photos to share.

Let the celebrations continue, just as the work continues.
