More progress for traditional elements in World Youth Day Gatherings

All are no doubt familiar with the presence of Juvenutem at World Youth Day, which has brought an element of traditional flavour to past World Youth Day gatherings by means of the usus antiquior, and we also recently heard about some of the liturgical events planned by some Dominicans which will see a renaissance repetoire of sacred music used.

Now word comes to the NLM that two monks of Heiligenkreuz Abbey along with two of the Fathers of the Vienna Oratory will form a Gregorian chant schola which will sing during the Mass as part of the Austrian WYD meeting in Sydney.

Further progress for the traditions of the Roman Church whose acceptance has seen exponential growth as a result of the pontificate of Benedict XVI.
