Requiem for an English Pope - the Only English Pope

An interesting event occurred at Fr. Tim Finigan's parish in England today, where they celebrated a solemn requiem Mass with absolution at the catafalque to commemorate the 850th anniversary of the death of Nicholas Breakspeare, better known in our history books as Pope Adrian IV, the only Englishman to ever be made Pope. He reigned from A.D. 1154 to 1159.

Blogger and parishioner Mulier Fortis has photos up of the Requiem.

Here a few.
