Pope to Possibly Consecrate Antonio Gaudi Church in Barcelona

A couple of stories appeared in Zenit today which should be of interest to our readership.

First: US Bishops Offer Seminars on Missal Changes which intends to speak to "the missal's history and theological context, and will help participants to deepen their understanding of the new translation's 'depth and richness.'"

Also from Zenit today, the Holy Father has been invited by the Cardinal Archbishop of Barcelona, Lluís Martínez Sistach, to consecrate Antonio Gaudi's La Sagrada Familia church in Barcelona which has been under construction since 1882. The Cardinal has commented that "the Holy Father was interested in the invitation because of what the Sagrada Familia is and signifies as a church of the universal genius of architect Antoni Gaudí, whose cause of canonization is under way."

No decision has yet been made.
