A Nice Detail From the Papal Te Deum of New Year's Eve

Looking at the pictures of the Vespers and Te Deum celebrated by the Holy Father on December 31 by Stefano Spaziani, I noticed an interesting detail. Msgr Marini has, as we have seen, reintroduced the traditional faldstool for all the occasions when the Pope has to kneel during the liturgy. Now, on the faldstool used this Wednesday, we can see the coat of arms of Our Most Holy Father Pope Benedict XVI, which probably means it has been recently restored (click to enlarge):
