Tenebrae 2021 Photo & Audiopost (Part 2)

We continue our Holy Week photopost series with part 2 of Tenebrae, before we move on to Good Friday, Holy Saturday and Easter Sunday. I am also including two videos from the Oxford Oratory, and three from our friends of the mighty Schola Sainte-Cécile. We have received a slow but steady stream of new contributions, and there is always room for more; if you have photos you would like to share, send them in to photopost@newliturgicalmovement.org, remembering to include the name and location of the church. Evangelize through beauty!

This year marked the 20th anniversary of the Chorus Breviarii San Diego, who sang their first Tenebrae in 2001. Combining forces with the Brothers of the Little Oratory in San Diego, and the nascent Chorus Breviarii Murrieta, the three Tenebraes services were sung in three churches in two different dioceses: Holy Thursday was anticipated on Wednesday evening at the church of St Charles in Imperial Beach, Good Friday was sung at St Mary’s in Escondido, and Holy Saturday at Holy Martyrs of England and Wales, a church of the Ordinariate of the Chair of Peter, in Murrieta.
