Tribute to Monsignor Richard Schuler

I so much enjoyed being at St. Agnes in St. Paul, Minnesota, and giving a talk in tribute to Monsignor Richard Schuler. Here is an image snapped just below the painting in the dining hall where the dinner was held. Schuler is a fascinating case, a man put down as a dinosaur because his parish continued with the musical program he was doing before the Second Vatican Council even through the 1970s and 1980s. Today he seems like a prophet, as thousands of parishes look to his legacy as a future ideal.
