Dominican Rite Solemn Mass of St. Joseph

I am sure that many of our readers will want to view the livestream of the Dominican Rite Solemn Mass in honor of St. Joseph the Worker which will be broadcast from St. Albert the Great Priory in Oakland, California, the House of Studies of the Western Dominican Province. The Mass will start at 1:30 p.m. thus Saturday, May 1. The livestream may be accessed here​ or here (scroll down). St. Albert's is still under lockdown because of Covid regulations in force in Oakland, so, unfortunately, this Mass will not be open to the general public, and may only be viewed on livestream. This Mass is part of our celebrations of the Year of St. Joseph proclaimed by Pope Francis.

The celebrant of the Mass and preacher will be Fr. Augustine Thompson, O.P., S.T.M., professor of history at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology in Berkeley, California; the deacon will be Fr. John Marie Bingham, O.P., vocations director of the Western Dominican Province, and the subdeacon will be Bro. Joseph Selinger, O.P., a theology student of the Province.
