iBarroux: An iPhone App From a Traditional Benedictine Monastery

Here's an interesting tidbit for those who have iPhones. The traditional Benedictine Abbey of Le Barroux in France have recently announced that they will be releasing an "iBarroux" application.

They describe the application as "the first iPhone application that lets you experience the rhythm of the monks".

The application will provide access to a brief meditation on the gospel of the Sunday, monastery news, and more -- though I know not whether this will be in French only.

Regardless, one other feature they note should be of interest to non-French speakers: "Experience the Gregorian offices of the monastery with the brother monks."

iBarroux will be available April 11th.
