Happy Advent

It certainly is not necessary to reiterate on these pages the fact that Advent gets lost in the midst of all the commercialism of shopping. It seems helpful, however, to share with you a little technique a late priest friend of mine used. All through the "holiday season," up until Christmas, he would greet people by saying "Happy Advent." (Not at Mass, of course.)

Maybe it's a little cheesy, but it seems like a nice un-grumpy way to remind people of what season we're really in.

So, allow me to be the first to wish you a Happy Advent.
